Founder of EXAICO Grow Deep, André Thissen has served internationally as a general manager in the agribusiness since 2006 and a commercial director since 1996. Alternatively contributing to corporate strategies and local implementations, he gained expertise in the fertilizer industry and exporting R&D solutions for animal nutrition.
He contributed to the profitability and structural growth of CCPA Cooperative Group as a board member (2014-2017 – France & world); of Seco Fertilisants as Vice President (2009-2014 - JV Yara/Prayon – France); to Yara West Cape as CEO (2006-2009 – South Africa), and globally to Yara Group (Norway) since 1996, through a number of management positions in sales, trading, marketing, M&A and restructuration, in Europe and Africa-Middle East.
In the early steps of his career, tropical fruit production and export from Centro-America, Africa and Asia allowed André Thissen to gain in depth practical experience, leadership and adaptation skills.
He holds a postgraduate degree in business management (IESCM-Brussels) and MSc. degree as Agricultural Engineer (ISIE-Belgium-1986) and also enjoyed trainings in leadership and finance at INSEAD.
